Once upon a time

” Once upon a time ” is a series of acrylic paintings . That show the problems of intolerance . The current situation in the society shows how much we are narrow minded and baldly educated. We are the society that wreak their frustration and dissatisfaction on minorities . the title of the exhibition is the sentence whit which usually a fairy tale starts , this sentence takes me back in time and a place where all things are possible in which everything is normal.

“Once upon a time there was love” is the first painting from the series “Once Upon a Time”.
The series deals with the various problems of (in) tolerance.
“Once upon a time there was love” deals with the fear that Croatian society has toward the sexual minorities, which are considered “sick”, “weird” or people of lower rank “ who do not deserve the same rights as other Croats …I am trying to demystify the issue by depicting two
girls in Croatian national costumes while freely expressing their love, alluding that even true Croatian catholic folk girls can be lesbians.

“Once upon a time” there was a small country, and in this country all people where
free to live in love and prosperity. In this country there was no prejudice, bullying, racism, sexism, homophobia … There was no violence and hunger, everyone did what they loved and lived freely their dream.Living in the country was like in a fairy tale.
